The handmade bracelet her grandmother gave to her as a gift for her ninth birthday was drifting to the bottom of the swimming pool.
Her friends were standing on the edge of the pool looking down at it as it was rocking back and forth into the depth, it wasn’t until their clothes got splashed by water they noticed she had jumped in after it.
She was swimming to the bottom with her eyes open and scanning the tile floor of the pool in search of the bracelet.
Bundles of hair from all parts of the human body, sand, grass, and some unidentified black matter were all gathered in the corners of the pool, she raked her fingers through it hoping her bracelet would be there, but after three corners she still did not find it.
So she swam to the last corner and when she got there she noticed a little girl wearing a mermaid suite with lots of glitters sitting on the bottom of the pool and was holding her bracelet.
The little girl looked up at her and smiled and began swimming around her in circles, the corner the girl was sitting in now revealed a small passage with light shining out of it.
The little girl swam towards it and looked over her shoulder and waved the bracelet at her and swam into the passage.
She had been under water for quite some time now but for some reason she had no problem holding her breath, so she followed the little girl inside and the swam through a long tunnel.
After she came out of the passage she found herself in a big ocean and was swimming through coral reef and was being accompanied by creatures of the sea.
The little girl was waiting by a shipwreck and handed her the bracelet and waved her goodbye.
She felt she could not hold her breath for much longer so started to swim back to the secret passage and when she was about to reach it she saw an enormous face appear behind the passage, and something was hovering above the surface.
Big and colorful thin slices started to sink to the bottom of the water, she quickly made her way to the passage but before she got there she bumped her nose against a glass wall.
She instantly woke up and found herself wide awake with her friends standing around her.

“I warned you not to go swimming right after eating..”, She said in an assertive voice.
