  • That Rabbit’s Foot Didn’t Save The Bunny

    His left leg was still twitching and his other leg was stiff and bended in an unnatural way.
    Twisted was his left arm and his right arm seemed to be missing or he was lying on it?
    The fingers on his left hand were like the legs of a young couple dancing the tango in reverse.
    Parts of the hair on his body were tainted red
    ‘Like the blood of Christ on the wood of the cross!’ one of the paramedics says.
    He was still breathing but only vaguely moving his chest up and down, and his body shook from time to time.
    The sky is lit by flashes from the photographer’s camera snapping gory photos for tomorrow’s newspaper.
    They look up into the night sky and with each flash the tree branches look like giant claws ready to grab them.
    The paramedics try to put him on the stretcher and carry him onto the ambulance.
    He was rubbing his rabbit’s foot in his right hand and thinking back on the stupid thing he had just done.
    Jumping over thirteen school buses wearing a bunny suit two sizes too big for him while riding a Segway was a horrible idea.
