“It’s okay to drown sometimes.” She said.
The puddle on the sidewalk did seem rather shallow Hank thought to himself.
Hank was wearing conservative swimwear, a pair of flippers and swimming goggles on top of his head.
“Are you sure about this?” Hank asked her.
“P.O. SITIVE!” She replied.
“So does this connect to the sewers below us?” Hank asked.
“Sewers, eeeeeeewwww!” She yelped at him.
“To the Marshmallow Land it goes!” She tells him.
Hank put his goggles on.
“Swim to the left, swim to the right! Backstroke, backstroke. Doggie paddle, doggie paddle.” The little girl sang.
He steps onto the small wooden crate he borrowed from the greengrocer down the street.
The little girl continued singing. “Snorkel, snorkel. Breaststroke, breaststroke.”
He puts the snorkel in his mouth and gets into a diving pose.
The little girl standing in front of him was wearing rain boots that were way to big for her.
Singing and staying dry under her umbrella, she does a pirouette and Hank dives into the puddle.
She finishes her song with “Swim or you’ll drown and be shark bait!”
He finds himself waking up nowhere near Marshmallow Land.
A nurse explains him he had a cracked skull and its a miracle he’s alive.
