The sound of a thousand marching heels, cover him like an avalanche pressing his lungs together and pressing out all the air.
Lance has no where to go, so he remains in his seat breathing heavily.

He has the feeling he will choke under the sound of all those heels taping the marble floor.

After someone that stepped in some dog shit enters the store, silence returns to the ‘Giant Shoe Shop’.

Lance is still waiting for his wife to finish trying on the million different shoes, holding his nose shut until the air drifts on.
