  • End Of The Road

    September 3, 2009 — With 155 words & Read — Labelled as: Story
“If all roads in life end at a certain moment, would I even notice?”
She yelled at him from across the lake.

He found it hard to answer to something like that so he just stood there
    motionless
up to his knees in snow, freezing.
The frozen lake they are standing on is making strange cracking sounds,
    but nothing happens.
With each breath of air they take, the cold bites their lungs.

They stare into each others eyes.
Their eyes were like bright stars that fell onto the frozen lake.

“We should just walk instead of driving there. So we won’t get to the end that fast.”
    He shouted back at her.

They start to run across the lake, with their arms spread ready to leap into each others arms.
The lake cracks again this time the layer of ice breaks into pieces.
The two lovers leap into each others arms and fall into the ice cold water.
Sinking to the bottom holding on tight, never to be seen again.
