  • Eagles Of Deaf Metal

    October 28, 2009 — With 246 words — Read — Share
It was a hot summer day and people had gathered around the big stage.
Sweat runs down the lead singer’s face, he wipes his face clean with his hand and streaks his fingers through his long hair.
He then grabs all of it and twists it into a ponytail and hold it together with a small hairband with two skulls dangling from it.
The drummer and guitarist hide behind some of the big speakers as they stare at the biggest crowd their band had every played for.
The whole band becomes more nervous when it’s time for them to play.
They start with ‘Beyond the Realms of Deaf’ and the crowd goes wild.
But because their old and their instruments are blasting from the speakers they can’t hear the crowd is actually going wild in a different way.
They have mistaken their band for a famous metal band that actually plays songs they like.
And the only crowd actually liking their music are on the side of the stage, all with grey hair and pain in their backs.
They begin to play ‘Ace of Blades’ and the elderly women throw their over sized brassieres and thongs that should be forbidden by law onto the stage.
When they begin to play ‘Welcome to the fungal’ the bassist passes out of a sunstroke.
And the drummer can’t continue drumming because his hernia kicked in.
The vocalist couldn’t sing properly anyway with or without his dentals.
And the guitarist was having trouble enough, because of his iron lung jamming his mic anyway.
