At the corner of a quiet but normally very busy street, there is a small flower shop.
Kurt’s father handed him down the shop and he has now been running it for over 14 years.
About a block away from the shop there’s is a parade getting started, they bought most of the flowers from Kurt’s shop so now he doesn’t have a lot to sell.
So he decided to read his mail, which he doesn’t do very often.
As bills pass by, the wind drifts the music coming from the parade into the little shop.
‘Maybe i should go check it out too.’ He thought to himself.
More bills pass by as some people walk by the store windows on their way to the parade not even taking a glance inside the emptied out store.
Letters from flower contests, and invitations to awards reveal themselves from sealed envelopes some were even addressed to his father.
‘When you get told you are nominated for something it must mean you didn’t win.’ He was sure about himself.
Kurt reads the front page of the local newspaper that’s asking everyone to come to the parade this Saturday.
Almost done with his mail, he stumbles upon a letter from the local video rental place.
They ask him to return the ‘Little Shop of Horrors’ video, and that it’s 2 years overdue.
