  • Bloody Goodnight Kiss

    June 2, 2009 — With 303 words & Read — Labelled as: Story
Count Harry is sitting on the edge of his coffin.
And starts to talk to himself.
‘Sometimes it’s hard being a vampire, especially at my age.
The nightly hunting and the never ending thirst for blood and flesh can make you really tired.
And I’m always cold and I can’t go out when it’s not dark outside.
Missing all the beauty this world has to offer when the sun is shining.
And it gets to be pretty lonely at times too but i have managed on my own for the last 600 years.’
He is staring at a full moon trough his window while immobilizing origami birds by ripping off their wings.

The door of his room opens, light crawls in and standing in it is Count Harry’s mom.
‘Harry it’s time for you to go to bed.’ She says with a awful voice that could tear the skin off a corpse.
Harry jumps into his coffin that has a batman printed pillow and blanket in it.
‘Did you brush your teeth?’ She asks with a strong voice that alone could take down a elephant.
‘Yes mother..’ Harry mumbles from under his blanket.
‘Sweet dreams my little count.’ She says with a sweet voice that would undo a lifetime of dental work if it got into contact with your teeth.
As she almost closes the door Harry asks ‘Mom, can you leave the door open.’
‘Sure sweetheart.’ She leaves the door open just a little so the sound of people downstairs can drift in to make sure he feels safe.
Count Harry shouts again ‘Mom!, and can you leave the bed light on.’
His mom flips on the batman sign bed light that’s plugged in the wall near his coffin.
She walks to her own room thinking about how fast her son is growing up.
‘He didn’t even want a good night kiss this time, he’s at that age already..’ she sighs.
