  • A Fond Farewell

    February 16, 2010 — With 132 words & Read — Labelled as: Story
“We are but wounded creatures, our souls, our bodies. Mangled and abused.” She said twirling around on the edge of a skyscraper’s roof.
She danced on the concrete ledge in her bare feet, with a big smile on her face that made her cheeks look bloated.
The sun began to rise, spreading a bright red glow across the city skyline, like blood from a fresh wound.
“Let’s release ourselves from the chains that hold us down..” She yelled into the sunrise while undressing herself piece by piece.
Her underwear slides down her legs and touched down on her feet, “..and take flight!” She yelled while spreading her arms.
The rays of the morning sun blazed through the streets and blinded everything in sight.
When the sun settled into it’s place in the skyline
    she was gone.
